Host Province Mark

A key goal of the 2010 Winter Games Secretariat is to identify and support opportunities for all regions of the Province of BC to actively participate in Games related programs.  The Host Province Mark program has been developed to provide BC’s communities with tools to show their support and excitement for the Games.

Communities have the opportunity to bring the spirit of the Games to every corner of B.C. by using the marks for non-commercial purposes and will include the following elements:

• An official Host Province Mark Plaque to be displayed in a municipal building
• A ’web button’ (image that can be used to link to Games related content) for municipal websites that shows their support of the Games, and that will link to a designated page that provides information on key Games initiatives for the 2010 Winter Games Secretariat, 2010 Commerce Centre, VANOC, Speakers Bureau, Legacies Now and Spirit of BC
• Use of the Host Province logo on municipal non-commercial brochures.

The Host Province Mark will be used as a symbol of support for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and provides an outstanding opportunity for all communities to get involved.
